Ripsey, Mumbai based a subscription-led health food tech startup, is using AI, ML algorithms, and data insights to help consumers achieve their fitness goals.It was born out of personal need by Silky singh who earlier ran warehousing business.



This startup helps plan meals for consumers in consultation with fitness experts, and nutritionists. It then gets its in-house chefs to prepare personalized meal at its central kitchen, and finally, delivers the meal box to the customer’s doorstep. But Ripsey is not a manufacturing company it’s a health food as a service startup as Silky Singh(Ripsey CEO )says.

And the good news for Mumbai people is that tha its healthy food menu consists of salads, sandwiches, wraps, juices, low-carb and high-protein meals, and various other combos unlike traditional diet plans which only comprises of food that creates hatred for dieting. Basically, Ripsey uses technology to provide healthy, tasty, and affordable nutrition. In the future, it plans use “robots” to provide vital meal recommendation to its consumers.

Well you might be thinking how to take benefit of these services by Ripsey. Well, You start by choosing your health goal – fat loss, muscle gain, or keto. Basically you subscribe to get goal-specific meal plans .You have to provide them with your preferred meal slots (breakfast, lunch, dinner, evening snacks, all-day), preferred subscription plan (weekly, monthly), type of food (vegetarian, non-vegetarian, eggitarian, vegan), and starting date. And all this procedure is facilitated by Artificial intelligence.


An average weekly subscription costs Rs 750 to Rs 1,250 (depending on your health goals), while a monthly plan costs anywhere between Rs 3,000 and Rs 5,000.Well its cost effective and cheap!

This startup has risen swiftly, currently delivering about 5,000 subscription orders a month, and 300-odd single orders daily. And if one doesn’t like they can cancel plans at any time or reschedule deliveries. Ripsey is rising at 175 percent month-on-month.

At present, the startup provides its health food services only in Mumbai out of a single central kitchen. But in 2020, it plans to multiply to three or four top metros and establish “at least” two central kitchens in every city it operates in.

One never knows, ‘health-food-as-a-service’ might just be the next giant startup trend in future!
